Most clients are pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to feel comfortable talking about their concerns with me. I have a very down-to-earth style of working with people that fosters more trust in the process and, consequently, better outcomes. I offer research-informed therapy on issues such as burnout, grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, work-life balance, and relationship difficulties. I work collaboratively with individuals, using an integrated approach that offers me the flexibility to tailor therapy to the individual's needs while still providing the structure to be effective in addressing the problem.
Primarily, I use CBT, where thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors are explored for their contribution to clients' presenting issues. I also use a Psychodynamic approach, examining how past relationships & experiences are affecting present situations. In addition, I use EMDR, a highly effective treatment for trauma. EMDR provides immediate relief for many people.
I have been in practice four years, and graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2015. As a Psychologist Resident, I am a pre-licensed professional practicing under the supervision of Dr. Sherry Harden.
I offer evening and sometimes weekend appointments to make it easier to get the help you need. My direct number is 503-726-4449.
